DJI unveils the Mavic 2 Pro and Zoom drones - Tech Expos | The ... - The Star Online
DJI launched the Mavic 2 Pro which has an integrated Hasselblad camera for engaging even better aerial photos and videos. Its 1in CMOS sensor is claimed to capture four times as numerous levels of colour per channel compared to the previous Mavic Pro. The Mavic 2 Pro can snap a 20-megapixel ikon and has an adjustable aperture of f /2. 8 to f /11, handy for various lighting conditions. Then there’s the new Mavic 2 Zoom paragon which allows users to get closer to a subject from a safer distance. It’s the company’s first foldable consumer drone to come with zoom faculty – it combines 2x optical zoom with 2x digital zoom to simulate a 96mm telephoto lens, the company claimed. The drone, which has a 1/2. 3-inch CMOS sensor, has a Wonderful Resolution feature that uses optical zoom to capture and stitch nine images together to conceive a 48-megapixel photo. It is also the only DJI drone to come with Dolly Zoom QuickShot mode. The mode creates a cinematic position by automatically zooming in as the drone drifts away from a subject. Imagine looking at a subject that stays the same while the background expands. Both new models also come with new tools and enhanced modes. Photo enthusiasts can look help to the new Enhanced High Dynamic Range mode that blends a sequence of images for improved high potent range with the Mavic 2 Pro having a slightly wider range than the Zoom. The drones also offer four ways to collar a timelapse video, including one where the drone flies in a circular pattern around the subject. Both the drones will be available later this month. The Mavic 2 Pro will come with battery, faint controller, charger and four pairs of propeller for RM6,599. The Mavic 2 Zoom with battery, charger, ultramontane controller and four pairs of propellers will be priced at RM5,699. The Fly More kit which comes with two additional batteries, multi-battery charging hub, car charger, battery to power bank adaptor, two pairs of propellers and a carrying bag will go for RM1,399. Scrutinize the Porsche Taycan electric concept on mountain roads in ... - Electrek
There are a lot of voluptuous things about Porsche’s first all-electric vehicles – mainly the deployment of the first 800-volt battery and charging modus operandi in a passenger car. But the car’s design itself might actually end up being its biggest selling point if it looks anything close to the Mission E concept on which it is based on. The carrier, which was first unveiled back in 2015, already won several awards for its design years before its production launch and it is clear why in this new footage of the mechanism driving on the tallest mountain in Austria:. It looks like DJI got rare access to the Porsche Taycan mould to use as the subject from some promotional footage filmed with their new drones. The production Porsche Taycan is not expected to be released until the end of next year, but Porsche has been nonetheless ramping up its marketing work over the last year. The German automaker has released several new promotional images and footage, as well as i nterviews with the people behind the conveyance. Source: electrek.co
DJI Mavic 2 drones add hurdle sensors to all sides - BBC News
DJI has announced its essential consumer drones to feature obstacle-detecting sensors on all sides of their bodies. The Mavic 2 aircraft use 10 sensors to forbid collisions with objects above and below them, as well as threats in front or behind and to their left or right. The foldable aircraft also present improved cameras over their predecessors, including a zoom lens in one and better colour via the other. The Chinese company had from the word go planned to launch the products in July and its decision to postpone came too late to prevent many of the details being printed in retailer Argos's catalogue. It also faces rivalry from two other models whose rotor blades can also be tucked away when not in use - Yulee's Mantis Q and Parrot's Naïf. However, GoPro announced earlier this year that it would not convinced a successor to its foldable Karma drone, which competed with the original Mavic models. Crash worries Shenzhen-based DJI has a 74% cut of the global drone market, according to data released by the analysis company Skylogic earlier this month. But it still faces a provocation in growing the overall size of the market. Safety concerns play a part in limiting demand, with no-fly zones imposed over uncountable built-up areas and parks. "Airspace restrictions are the number one complaint that people have about their drones," commented Skylogic's chief administrator Colin Snow. "But in the US we are making improvements - the aviation authorities understand the issue. The UK is among countries currently everything considered requiring owners to register their models and pass a test before using them, as well as the possibility of a minimum age. And although the additional bar sensors are unlikely to dissuade politicians from introducing such measures, they demonstrate that DJI is mindful of their concerns. They may also help leave alone further controversies, such as when, in London earlier this month, 10 fire brigade officers were called out to dislodge a drone stuck in a tree. DJI says the algorithms it uses to turn the aircraft adjust their flight path to move around obstacles have been improved and the drones now automatically chance on an underside lamp to aid landings in low light. It acknowledges, however, that its "Omni-directional obstacle sensor" technology does not somewhat provide 360-degree coverage nor does it work when the aircraft are flown at their maximum speed of 44km/h (27mph). "The sensors should usurp put owners' minds at rest, especially new pilots who haven't got experience using a drone," said the film-maker Philip Bloom. "But I don't value it will make a huge difference to regulatory bodies. "And, personally, I don't use the feature much because most of my flying involves present between things and the system [kicks in] quite far away from objects. Zoom v Pro Two models of the Mavic 2 have been announced. A Zoom manifestation - costing £1,099 - features a 2x optical zoom lens with the ability to get even closer to a subject via a digital cause,. This is used to offer a "dolly zoom" facility, which involves the camera zooming in while the drone flies backwards. It is based on a camera manage made famous by films such as. Source: www.bbc.com
